Le deuxième lundi de mon cours de théâtre français.

Madame la prof is very kind and encouraging with me. And today, at the end of class, she told me I did well, and said « super! » That sure felt good. And with that, I was off to the grocery store for some staples and favorites.

I’m home now, ready to start memorizing tomorrow’s skit. I’m even learning how to curse en français, as every dialogue so far has included such expressions. Very HBO. LOL! Pas vraiment.

And then, of course, we are conjugating two more verbs in their entirety — especially negation of said verbs. I really like this class, as it pushes me out of my comfort zone. Plus, I now have another group of friends.

Il y a plusieurs événements spéciaux chez nous aux États-Unis ce mois-ci. Les anniversaires de mes enfants, bien sûr (l’anniversaire de mon chat Lulu aussi), et puis il y a la Pâques et le Pessah – les deux en avril. De plus, nous célébrons tous l’achat d’une maison par ma fille et son mari! Finalement, mon fils se prépare à commencer sa formation avec la compagnie aérienne. Tellement de choses à célébrer et à être reconnaissants pour ce mois et toujours.

Je suis une maman très fière !

Et maintenant vous savez pourquoi j’ai acheté du champagne! Non pas que j’ai besoin d’une raison!

The weather here in April is colder than it was in winter. We’ve had lower temperatures, and a bit of hail and snow so far. I wasn’t expecting that, and I’m glad I didn’t ship home my winter sweaters.
