Sunday.
I slept in, and slept well. I’m definitely on Paris time now. It’s nearly 10pm, and it looks like it’s 6pm. This is why dinner is so late here.
It was a laundry day, but I had to get out and walk about because it was a gorgeous day, weather-wise and they’ve been infrequent by all accounts. Still, I needed to do my chores, even in Paris. Grocery shopping was part of the order of the day, and I’m not complaining because grocery shopping in Paris is an experience. But again, trash and recycling need to be tended to here, too. I’ll suffer through.
The strawberries here are so good. And the blueberries. All the food here is good. Just keeping the staples on-hand makes me smile. Staples being good bread, cheese, meats, fruits, and wine.
I dabbled with my paints today. Nothing much, but it was playful. It’s a start. I haven’t worked with watercolors in a long time, so I enjoyed experimenting with them.
I also had French class today, so it was fun to see my now-famous teachers online, and all my classmates. Well, most of them. Lizbeth est dans l’avion en train de voler aux États-Unis.
After class, I FaceTimed with another friend, Diane. We had a great chat that lasted a long time. We had a lot of catching up to do since seeing each other this past winter in NYC with the ATFrenchies. She lives in DC, and I’m planning on visiting her there soon.
Quiet night. Windows are open. No screens here. I don’t know what it is, but there are no bugs. I saw a bee or two visiting the window boxes, and that’s it.

Tomorrow begins my almost last week, maybe not. We shall see. But I will be busy finalizing some trips and adventure with friends.
