Epic!
The concert was amazing. Everything about it. I will say that Europeans don’t have to pay what we pay for concert seats. it’s insanely different. Ah, capitalism, which benefits the entitled/elite.
I was in line to enter the stadium, when a lovely young woman from South Africa started chatting with me. She was the epitome of sweet and kind and gentle. She towered over me and could have easily been a super model, too, because she was gorgeous!
As we neared the gate, she and I – and another woman from Australia (!) were continuing our chat. We all knew we were in Section C, as that was our line. However – and this is unreal – the young woman from South Africa and I were in the same row! And on further checking, we were 2 seats apart! What are the odds of this? We were immediately attached. Then, there was another young woman in the seat between us from Belgium. So the 3 of us had a great evening – all having arrived solo.
We danced, and sang all night! They knew every word to every single song. I knew every word to fewer songs – but sang with passion as is the norm.
Taylor could be heard above it all, which was amazing considering the volume. Holy cow was it crazy loud!
Th
At the end of the concert we stayed together, found the Metro and kept each other company, texting when we arrived safely to our hotels-airbnbs.
It was all so wonderful. Taylor swift is a global phenomenon with girls and women of all ages sharing in the lovefest. Bracelets traded – little gifts offered and swapped. And there were sequins everywhere, head to toe in everyone. My gold and pink were understated, as is my style, but just enough sparkle for the event!
We went to a machine and punched in and paid for our drink order, then we took the receipt to the bar area where our water and maybe a rosé (!) were served, and took them to our seat.
So many of my favorites were performed – and how could they not be – with a 3+ hour show! What?
I received my first Taylor Swift friendship bracelet, and a “13” tattoo! It’s official, I’m a Swiftie. The bracelet is “Love Story,” which is perfect because when my kiddos were young and that song was popular, I thought it was so clever. I loved it. I think that’s when I became a true fan of her lyrics. I was already impressed with her since she was 19.
I loved the Folklore part of the concert. I loved “Lover,” and I loved TTPD addition. Aaaaaaaah! I’m a total fan of the new album and knew the words. lol! Taylor performed “Guilty as Sin” as a surprise acoustic version.
How I need coffee! I’ll explain maybe later, as I’m currently in a Dutch Pancake house. So good!
My room was switched at the Airbnb – and omg disaster. Mixup. Same issue with unplugging the fridge to use the fan/heater (it’s cold here), and unplugging the fan to use the coffee.
Choices, people, choices.
But damn these beds are comfortable!!!
I’m so dizzy. Contact high or just a long night? Unsure. Need to plan my day.
So… it turns out the coffee maker plug doesn’t reach the outlet. I may have dropped cups all over the floor. Nothing broke. But only hot water came out. Omg. Twice.
I ate my berries and hard-boiled egg and headed out to wait in line for the famous Dutch pancakes. Worth the hype.

Everyone in line was a Swiftie! I waited a long time to get into this restaurant. I slept well but I’m tired – in a good way.
My girl buddies from last night are texting and commenting on Insta. God, we had fun!!!!!!
Coffee, though. Bring it!
It’s a gray, chilly day here. but the sun is trying to make an appearance. Wearing the pink trench – with hood. Oh, and I checked my duffel at a nearby luggage storage so I’m unencumbered for the day. My train leaves tonight.
What to do? What to do? Choices!
