Happy birthday to my bestie, Lee! XOXO
I had written an entire blog, complete with lots of photos from my visit to musée d’Orsay, when the system crashed and there is seemingly not even a draft of my work. Hours. So, I’m calling it a day! I will try to recreate it tomorrow evening?
Je ne sais pas!
Bonne nuit tout le monde!
Bisous!
Well, I don’t know how to begin to recreate the lengthy post I wrote yesterday, but I’ll try to do something.
I was up early, it was a lovely day, but it grew steamy-hot by afternoon.
I decided to wear my new t-shirt and earrings, going for a “Chanel” look…not really… but you’ll see what I mean.

I was laughing because I was trying to make my shirt ‘readable’ in with the phone/mirror. It didn’t work – I just flipped it afterwards.
I wore the right shoes – my Sketchers – because it was a long day on my tender feet at Musée d’Orsay. I saw a lot of favorite paintings, and spotted a few I might have missed before.
Lunch with champagne in between galleries is a tradition for me…

Pour moi, le dernier gout est toujours le champagne!

I had labeled and dated all the images yesterday, but… I may skip that for now.
There were also some nice views from the windows of Orsay:

It was drizzling a little as I left Orsay – some 5 hours later – but it was so hot it seemed as if the rain dried up before reaching me. Nothing was going to cool me. I’d been spoiled in a/c all afternoon viewing art and sipping champagne. The walk to the Métro was tough, and I thought I might melt.
Thunder and lightning happened later, and it brought a temporary relief. Very temporary.

I napped when I got home. Art exhausts me – in a good way – but it does have that affect on me.
Next up: Le Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris! Matisse and Münter!
